Getting to the venue
The Venue
The wedding venue is the 5th Maine Regiment Museum on Peaks Island, Maine. The island is a fifteen minute ferry ride from Portland. If you are arriving in Portland before October 10th, take a look at places to stay (and things to do) in Portland. The 5th Maine is very yellow, so it is hard to miss:

Fun facts about Liam's family's connections to the 5th Maine:
-
His parents got married on the porch in 1999
-
His grandmother became a docent at the museum in the early 1990s and his grandfather has volunteered there as a docent for ~30 years and was on the Executive Board for 9 years (and on the Collections and the Building committees)
-
Members of the family volunteer at summer pancake breakfasts and his grandfather wrote the Pancake Breakfast Bible
-
His brother has worked there for several summers
-
The four Adirondack chairs in the garden were donated by the family in appreciation for all the Fifth has meant to us
General facts:
-
It is the yellowest building on Peaks Island
-
It was a meeting house for Civil War Veterans and their families from the 5th Maine Regiment of the Union Army
Getting there
If you are driving to Portland, you can try to park in the Casco Bay Lines parking deck connected to the terminal building (56 Commercial St, Portland, ME 04101). That deck often fills up, however.
If you are flying, taxis from the airport to the ferry terminal usually charge ~$20. Uber/Lyft is often a bit cheaper.
The ferry schedule is included below, but note that all guests arriving on October 10th should take the 3:15 pm ferry at the latest to make it in time for the ceremony.
if you arrive on the 3:15 pm boat, we will have people with cars (probably holding signs or something) to take you to the venue. If you prefer to walk (it's about ten minutes but a bit hilly) the best route is here:

If you are arriving early on the 10th, take a look at our list of fun things to see on Peaks if you have the time.

Ferry tickets are currently undetermined for 2026, but they might be ~$17 for adults and ~$7 for senior and kids. Your ticket is round trip and you not need to show your ticket for the return journey.
